Product details

The Fastshifter FT5 adjustable pedestal for tiles supports ceramic, porcelain and concrete paving on a raised terrace, balcony or roof deck. Its head carries integrated 4 mm spacer tabs, so every joint between tiles comes out the same width without measuring, and the height adjusts smoothly between 110 mm and 202 mm — 92 mm of range.

Because the tiles sit on pedestals rather than on mortar, rainwater drains freely through the joints and away beneath the surface, the substrate stays ventilated, and any tile can be lifted later to reach cables, drainage or the waterproofing below.

Key features

  • Height 110–202 mm with fine screw-thread adjustment (92 mm range).
  • Integrated 4 mm tile spacers — consistent joints and correct drainage.
  • Load capacity up to 800 kg per pedestal.
  • Reinforced recycled polypropylene — UV, frost and temperature stable, fully recyclable.
  • Adjustable after laying — level the surface without lifting the whole field.
  • Works over waterproofing — no penetration of the roof or balcony membrane.

Where it is used

  • Roof terraces and balconies over waterproofing membranes.
  • Raised garden terraces on uneven or freshly landscaped ground.
  • Areas where screw piles cannot be driven because of drainage or buried services.
  • Pool and fountain surrounds needing fast surface drainage.
  • Commercial and public paved areas that must stay liftable for maintenance.

Accessories

This pedestal has no built-in slope compensation — use the Fastshifter slope adjuster on the head where the base falls. For perimeter rows, the bottom and top tile holders and the tile wall fixator support and restrain edge tiles. A rubber support pad under the base protects membranes and reduces friction noise.

Installation

Start from the highest point of the base, set the pedestals to an approximate height and lay out the field, letting each tile corner sit on a spacer tab. Level as you go with a long straightedge, then fine-tune individual pedestals from above. Cut tiles at the perimeter last and support cut edges with additional pedestals or tile holders.
