Product details

Fastshifter Premium decking screws, brown, 4.5 × 60 mm are top-fix screws for timber decking, driven straight down through the board into the joist. Compared with ordinary wood screws they run at noticeably lower torque, which speeds installation by up to 60% over a full deck.

The Premium version adds a reamer point — a milling section behind the tip that clears the hole as the screw enters. It reduces stress in hardwood, prevents splitting and makes dense boards far easier to fix.

Key features

  • High corrosion resistance — special anti-corrosion coating for outdoor exposure.
  • Strong grip — thread profile designed for a reliable hold in timber, reducing breakage and slipping.
  • Easy installation — T20 drive and low-torque design with reamer point for hardwood.
  • Aesthetic brown head — blends with most decking finishes.
  • 4.5 × 60 mm.
  • Supplied as 1 pcs.

Where it is used

  • Timber decks and terraces fixed from the top face.
  • Wooden floors, partitions and garden structures.
  • Fences, screens and outdoor furniture.
  • Hardwood and dense thermally modified timber, where standard screws struggle.

FAQ

What makes these different from ordinary wood screws? Lower driving torque and up to 60% higher work rate — over a 40 m² deck that is a meaningful saving in time and in worn-out bits.

What does the reamer point do? It clears material ahead of the thread, relieving stress in hardwood so the board does not split and the screw seats cleanly.

Are they suitable for outdoor use? Yes — the anti-corrosion coating is designed for moisture, temperature cycling and weather exposure.
