Product details

Fastshifter FT Twister A2 structural screws 6 × 120 mm are full-thread (FT) framing screws in A2 stainless steel, for building the timber structures that sit under and around a deck. Full thread means the screw grips along its entire length, tying two members together rather than simply clamping them.

The surface is waxed, which cuts friction as the screw drives, reduces torque and makes long screws far easier to run home — especially in dense or damp timber.

Key features

  • A2 stainless steel — high corrosion resistance for humid and outdoor environments.
  • Full thread (FT) — strong, stable connection along the whole length.
  • Waxed surface — easier driving, lower torque, less operator fatigue.
  • T30 drive — excellent torque transfer, reduced risk of cam-out.
  • Formed tip — starts easily and reduces the chance of splitting.
  • 6 × 120 mm — sized for structural framing work.
  • Supplied as 100 pcs + 1 bit.

Where it is used

  • Deck substructures — joists, bearers and noggins.
  • Pergolas, carports, canopies and garden buildings.
  • Timber framing indoors and outdoors.
  • Fixing boards and joists where a reliable long-term connection is required.
  • Any humid or exposed location where a coated carbon steel screw would eventually fail.

Choose the length so that at least two thirds of the screw enters the receiving member. In hardwood, pre-drilling near ends and edges is still worthwhile even with a waxed screw.
