The Ground Screw for Outdoor Lamp Post 68x350x1.8mm is a purpose-made screw foundation for outdoor pillar lamps and bollard lighting. Instead of casting a concrete base, the screw is wound into the ground and the luminaire bolts straight onto its 120 mm mounting plate.
The shaft is 68 mm in diameter and 350 mm long with a 1.8 mm wall — short enough to install by hand, long enough to hold a lamp post rigid. Cable openings are formed in the shaft so the supply cable is routed inside the foundation, out of sight and protected.
Key features
- 120 mm mounting plate — matches the base plate of most garden and bollard luminaires.
- Cable routing openings — the supply cable passes through the foundation, not around it.
- No concrete — install and wire the light in the same visit.
- Adjustable height — wind in or out until the plate is exactly level.
- Removable — lights can be repositioned later without breaking up concrete.
- Electro-galvanised black finish — discreet where the plate stays visible in planting.
Where it is used
- Garden and driveway pillar lamps.
- Bollard lighting along paths and parking areas.
- Lighting in planted beds and lawns, where digging would damage the planting.
- Signage posts, house numbers and small garden features.
Installation
Mark the position, feed the cable, drive the screw with a turning bar until the plate sits just above finished level, then check it with a spirit level and fine-tune. Bolt the luminaire to the plate with stainless or SS410 self-tapping screws. Because no concrete is used, the light can be relocated at any time.
